I saw this latest offering from DreamWorks Animation earlier today, and can happily report it's by far their finest outing yet. Jettisoning the barrage of pop-culture in-jokes that have come to exemplify DreamWorks' take-it-or-leave-it house style thanks to the likes of the Shreks and the Madagascars, How to Train Your Dragon favours good, old-fashioned adventure storytelling and excitement--and is all the more impressive for it.
